By default, we ship RWA with preinstalled adapter for Lucent
MS252 or MS352 chip. You might change it or order additional
one. To get information about particular PRML Chip Channel availability
contact Guzik Sales.
If we don't have designed adapter for the chip you chosen,
we can make this design by your request. Usually, it takes
four weeks. Additional NRE charge may apply. Send our
engineer your request and we will be glad to integrate
your PRML chip into RWA.

Chip support software provides:
- Access to all chip registers, divided into functional
groups .
- Proper chip handling during other WITE tests.
- Fast Optimization PRML Chip Channel parameters to find
the best settings for given head, media, and data rate.
PRML Chip Control window:
Provides Automatic adjustment of the chip parameters for
each head/media combination.
- Based on chip’s Quality Monitor or Comparator Error
Rate value.
- Measure current Quality Monitor.
- Optimize.
- Select chip parameters included in optimization.
- Observe adaptive register(s) and QM variations along the
track.
- See how Quality Monitor and Error Rate depends on the
values of any chip register.
