Introduction

Revision 1.42 is a maintenance release which repairs the bug described below. Only one file relating to the SSI 4935A PRML chip was changed.

No other components of WITE were changed. If you are using WITE for anything other than SSI4935A-based PRML testing, there is no difference between WITE 1.41 and WITE 1.42.

Bug Fixed in WITE 1.42

In WITE 1.41, chip optimization for the SSI 4935A PRML chip intermittently produced poor values. In WITE 1.42, the optimization procedure is stable and produces correct results.
