WITE 1.85
Introduction
This document contains the release notes for WITE revision 1.85 from Guzik Technical Enterprises. WITE 1.85 is a maintenance release which provides bug fixes and minor improvements.
All discussion of features and bugs in this document uses WITE version 1.84 as a baseline for comparison. For information about features and modifications prior to 1.85, please refer to the WITE user’s manual and to the release notes for previous revisions of WITE.
New features in WITE 1.85
Support for new head amplifiers and head stacks
The following Head Amplifiers and Head Stacks are supported in WITE 1.85.

Other changes.
-
Support for new hardware revision of UP7 has been added.
- Support for separate revision of extender board for mirror machine has been added.
- Support for the 20000 RPM Guzik spinstands has been added.
- UP7 default attenuator position has been changed from 0(13db) to 2(5db).
- The ‘write’ operation during ‘Gain Adjust’ procedure has been removed.
Bugs fixed in WITE 1.85
Due to removable amplifiers powering off its EEPROM was not being read properly for particular amplifiers causing error messages during initialization, start/stop device procedure. Occasionally amplifier parameters were being handled incorrectly.
Known bugs in WITE 1.85
There were no new bugs known but not fixed. Please refer to the previous release notes version to obtain the list of known bugs.
