Release Notes
WITE32TM
Version 2.22
05/20/99
The 2.22 release introduces new
features and fixes
bugs found in the WITE32 2.21 release. (This document
uses the WITE32 2.21 revision as a base line for comparison.)
New Features
None.
Fixed Bugs
The following bugs have been fixed:
- If user hits the Cancel button on the Serial Number window during a production test, the subsequent engineering tests will not display any raw data. This happens if Production test has the "Save all iteration data" option disabled. The same problem will happen if any hook test fails during Production test.
- After Production has failed the runtime grading and aborts. If the next Production run succeeds without failing runtime grading, "No result information registered" error message will appear.
- If the MR Impedance test is enabled and fails, all the statistic options for engineering tests are disabled. User must go to the Test Option menu to reenable the statistic options.
- No Normalization results in the result window of a production test can be found, after running a standard test and a gold test.
- Head serial number is missing in result table and all ASCII output.
- Viewing normalization records causes an error message:
"WITE Normalization System> Method ‘~’ of object ‘~’ failed."
- If either grading or normalization is enabled, standard tests would be treated as production tests and result in irrelevant error messages. For example,
- Standard Test will cause an error message, "WResult>No Current Record" if Grading is enabled in the Production setup.
- The Standard Test will cause an error message,"WResult>Missing Normalization Coefficients" if Normalization is enabled in the Production setup.
- Error message "Cannot open configuration table: NLTSH3 No current record" pops up although the table is there.
- If a user deletes the last and the second from the last Normalization record, then WITE enters into a long loop of meaningless error messages like "Method ‘~’ of object ‘~’ failed".
- The frequency of the Popcorn Flux excitation signal is incorrect in the Popcorn test.
- The Read Gate for Popcorn test is incorrect if the Flux Excitations option is used.
- The timing of the CLAMP signal in the Popcorn test is not correct.
- The push button which unloads the headstack in 1701CF/A spinstands does not work.
- PRML Chip channel does not reflect the changes in the Control | Clock value.
Known Bugs
Guzik Technical Enterprises is actively working to solve known bugs. If you encounter a problem not on this list, please report it to Guzik customer support at Support@Guzik.com.
- Control | ScopePoint Scope Point 4 is not displayed in Edit Mode.
- Importing a product to replace a "Protected reference" product will cause this (originally protected) product unprotected. The workaround is to check the "Protected Reference" checkbox again.
- Installing a module twice will disconnect the module completely. The workaround is never to install a module twice or else a shutdown and restart of WITE32 is required.
