Introduction
The 2.43 release incorporates new features introduced after the WITE32 2.42
release. (This document uses the WITE32 2.42 release notes as a base line for
comparison.)
Modifications
- Support of a new Guzik Universal Interface 8 (P/N 311340).
- Support of a new modification of Guzik Head Amplifier GTEMR4UM
(P/N 311890, 313210).
- Support of a new head loader for Guzik Head Amplifiers GTEMR4UM
(P/N 311890, 313210).
- Support of a new revision of spinstand Piezo DSP controller
board (P/N 304090) with a double letter assembly revision.
The Piezo DSP controller board revisions have reached the
letter ‘Z’, the next modification of Piezo DSP controller
board will have an assembly revision ‘AB’.
Note: You must have WITE32 rev.2.43 and above to be able to
work with spinstands that have Piezo DSP controller board revision
‘AB’ and greater.
Fixed Bugs
- Low performance of error rate off-track measurements using
Guzik PRML channel. The problem usually happens in the comparator
error rate test in non-sector mode, when the start of a read
gate is set to 10% and above.
- Unable to run tests using Guzik PRML channel, when track
format is set to sector mode and the sector number zero is
disabled.
